Tullamore Golf Club is a championship parkland golf course located at Brookfield, just on the outskirts of the thriving town of Tullamore.  The course is consistently rated among the top 30 parkland courses in Ireland with easy walking terrain and is enjoyed by members and visitors alike.

The James Braid designed course has been situated at Brookfield since 1926 and was upgraded in 1996 by the highly regarded golf-course architect, Patrick Merrigan.  While maintaining many of the Braid features the re-design incorporated three new lakes along with seven new greens, eleven new tees, thirty bunkers and one thousand trees were planted to augment those clusters of mature oak, beech and chestnut trees that have been there for a century and more. The result is a magnificent course which combines the best of the Braid design with new developments and features.  

The course plays 6,472 yards off the back markers and has three par 5’s, ten par 4’s, and the five par 3’s, with water coming into play on seven holes accuracy and good course management is required.  The toughest hole is the index one 474-yard 14th and in addition the 13th, the signature-hole 16th and 18th holes, in particular, provide the visitor with an unforgettable and enjoyable challenge.

Tullamore has been selected by the two National Unions, the Golfing Union of Ireland (GUI) and the Irish Ladies Golfing Union (ILGU) as well as the Professional Golfers Association (PGA) to host many major competitions over the years and it is a testament to the quality and challenge of the course that it continues to be sought as a host for major competitions by the national organisations.

The GUI All-Ireland Cups and Shields Finals are regarded as the largest Club Festival of Golf of its kind in the world and Tullamore was proud to host these finals in 2009 when there was nothing but praise for the quality and standard of the course and our facilities.
