Weekend Competition

The weekend competition was kindly sponsored by PJ Grennan Quality Foods.
Congratulations to Brian Dolan with the winning score of 63 nett
The draw for the top 64 to qualify for the Matcplay stage will be posted on Wednesday next.
The list is now posted, but should you be unable to play the Matchplay stage we would appreciate if you could inform a member of the committee before Wednesday next May 17th at 6pm.

Weekend Match Results

Pierce Purcell
The Pierce Purcell team unfortunately did not make the semi-finals of the qualifying section at Moate yesterday. The team finished in fifth place.
We would like to thank Noel Cleary team manager and the team comprising of:
Pat Corcoran (R), Ray McGowan, Brian Deering, Christy Gorman, Roddy Molloy, John Leogue, Joe Feely, Declan McDonnell, Peadar Coughlan and Carthage Grogan for participating.

Provincial Towns
The Provincial Towns team had a very impressve win over Craddockstown yesterday.
Wins at home for Eoin O'Ceallachair, Declan Farrell, Derek Mooney and Larry Lynam. Ray Hussey lost his match on 16. James Fox won away while Alan McKnight and Michael Lennon were called in. Liam Delaney lost away. Well done to John Lynch manager and Sean Lynch selector.

Fred Daly
Tullamore lost to Mullingar in a match of high quality.
Great golf was played by our team of Callum Bergin, Liam Delaney, Stephen Fitzgerald, Shane Kearney and Christopher Rabbette. Thanks to Tom Fox and Ronan Coleman for managing the team.

Under-15 Boys
Our Under-15 Boys had a great win at Castle Barna today.
Carrying a 3-2 lead from the home leg last Sunday we had wins from Evan Monaghan, Luca Meyer, Michael Fox and Daniel Fox while Colm Farrell was unlucky to lose.
Well done lads and thanks to Christy Lennon and Tim Guiney, team managers.

The Heritage is the venue for the Barton Shield qualifier section. Team manager is Aidan Marsden and selector Martin Darcy.
The All-Ireland Fourball team managed by JJ Flanagan take on Castle Barna.
The South Leinster team managed by Liam Mooney have their first outing against The Heath
Sunday next:
The Duggan Cup managed by Seamus Egan take on Rathdowney.

Next week's competition is the PGA Tankard / SN Mahon prize kindly sponsored by Hoey and Denning Solicitors. This is the second Medal competition of the year and is strokeplay.
